- Assistant Administrator & Dance Department Faculty
New Mexico School for the Arts (NMSA) Dance Department Assistant Administrator seeks a highly motivated individual to assist the Dance Department Chair with daily needs ranging from administrative and office managerial tasks to larger outreach initiatives. The Dance Department Assistant Administrator will work with Dance Department Chair in developing artistic and educational programming, curriculum, schedules and calendars. The Dance Department Assistant Administrator will also teach dance courses according to her/his area/s of expertise. There is an expectation that the individual will assist the Chair in planning, developing and working during summer months to ensure a successful school year. Click here for a job description.

- NMSA is seeking an individual to provide custodial and minor maintenance support for 2-3 hours every afternoon Monday – Friday during the school year. A vehicle is required. A background check is also required. Experience as a general handy-man is essential.
- SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS
If you are interested in being placed on NMSA’s substitute list, please submit the required State of New Mexico Public Education Department (“PED”) credentials to Gayle McGuiness at gmcguiness@nmschoolforthearts.org.
Credentials to perform services as a substitute teacher require holding a license authorizing you to perform the duties of a substitute teacher.This can be in the form of a State Teaching License or a Substitute Teacher Certificate issued by the New Mexico PED. A fingerprint-based background check is also required. Resumes received without all of the proper documentation will not be considered.

Do you have to be a licensed New Mexico teachers to work at the School?
Yes and no. All teachers hired by the New Mexico School for the Arts must be licensed New Mexico teachers. Art teachers hired by New Mexico School for the Arts-Art Institute do not have to be licensed.
