Adult Art Classes

Studio art classes include lively discussion sessions in the galleries and studio time to complete drawing and painting projects. Gallery classes emphasize drawing in LACMA’s permanent collection galleries as a way to learn about composition, color, technique and personal expression. Adults may also participate in intergenerational classes held for students ages 5 and up.

Kids Art Classes

Children's art classes emphasize creative problem-solving and experimentation and instruction in drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and mixed media. Classes also include gallery activities and a chance to look at original works of art from the museum's permanent collection and special exhibitions. Unless otherwise specified, the minimum age requirement for children's classes is 6 years old.

LACMA art classes provide unique opportunities to learn about art through studio activities, discussion sessions, and visits to the galleries. Classes focus on artworks in the museum's permanent collection or in special exhibitions.
